Pamela Louderback, Day 12 pics of QUB

As promised, I'm posting some pics I've taken of Belfast, QUB, etc...

It's been quite a technology challenge but the IT people have finally figured out the laptop config problems.  Enjoy!
Artwork outside entrance to library.  Note it appears to be a reflection in the water of a bust.  Pretty cool, huh?

Union Theological College building across the street from the library.  It's pretty special in regards to the architecture of the building.  It's situated at the heart of the QUB campus and has the most extensive theological library in NI.
New Library building - view from the Union Theological College.  They have a short loan collection (2-3) days, a language Centre where they teach foreign languages periodically for a fee, group study rooms, training rooms, computer help area, Circulation desk, and a cafe on the ground floor; a Special Collections with C.S. Lewis Reading Room (a replica of the wardrobe door used in the Narnia movie markes the entrance to the room! Magnificent - I'll post a pic of that soon) and LC Classification A-H section on floor 1, the Law and Official Publications, and LC J-P section on floor 2; and LC Q-Z on the 3rd floor.    The building won a top award for "sustainability design".

Entrance to Queens University Belfast (QUB) Founded by Queen Victoria, first University in the north of Ireland - founded in 1845 -- designed and buil by Charles Lanyon - since then, it's grown to more than 300 buildings - many listed for their architectural importance.  With 300 building s- I have my work cut out for me.
